I was positive that rats were spotting the standard 650nm IR, which made them skittish. So I purchased the 940 black light pill to counter this. I had to use some soft grip pliers to unscrew the 650 pill as I couldn’t do it by hand, to break the thread lock. The 940 was fitted quickly and I was soon setting off back to one of my contracts to cull rats. The power output of such a little unit is simply incredible, I never went above the 2nd power setting, which easily lit a rat up at 60yds. Close up work under 10yds the rats were paying zero attention to the black light 940nm….success 👍. Point to note, the 940 is never as bright as a 650, but I had no problem lighting up a fox at over 200yds with this little 940 pill. As a full time vermin controller, I am super impressed with the performance and it’s worth every penny.
