The TNC335R features a 384 x 288 thermal sensor, while the TNC635R offers a 640 x 512 thermal sensor, delivering superior clarity with a wider field of view (FOV) for easier target detection. Both models use uncooled VOx microbolometers with a 12um pixel pitch, ≤18mk@25°C sensitivity, and a 50Hz refresh rate for optimal performance in the field.

Featuring a cutting-edge built-in laser rangefinder, this device provides highly accurate distance measurements from 5 to 1100 yards. Once the range is determined, the onboard ballistic calculator quickly generates a ballistic solution, which is then displayed as either dial-in or holdover corrections, ensuring precision with every shot.

An Awesome piece of kit.
I had a 3-12 Zulus LRF before, which was a huge step up from the SightMark Wraith - not having to remember hold-over/under figures for various known ranges around my chicken run was very useful, but the buttons were awkwardly placed.
I'm really impressed that DNT have listened to users and the new body design for the 335R and up is excellent. Still lightweight, even though there's an extra image tube for the thermal channel, buttons just where you need them to be for a right-hand dominant user (not sure what lefties are feeling about this?).
The thermal channel is the game-changer, though. I'm seeing rats hiding in light undergrowth on thermal that just aren't visible on IR. From 2 to 3 a night (roughly 30 minutes) with the 3-12, I'm hitting 8-10 most evenings and most of them, obviously, on thermal. I'm loving the PIP feature as well.
Setup was dead easy, direct to the sight instead of having to faff about setting up the ballistic table in my phone and then transfering it to the sight. Zeroing was also very easy and I'm impressed with the precise correlation between the sighting solution of the day/night imager and the thermal one.
The menu feels a lot more intuitive to navigate around than on the 3-12 Zulus, and I'm not fiddling about pressing the wrong buttons in the dark any more.
To sum up, I think it's worth every penny. If I had one suggestion for a firmware upgrade, it would be to be able to adjust the temperature colour scale manually. On really cold evenings, even trees are showing up as hot spots. The ability to filter them out (ie, to be able to lower their "colour temperature") would be excellent news.
Well done, DNT.
I need fantastic image quality in my scopes for footage for my YouTube channel “the grey Reaper” and these scopes fit the bill perfectly.
